"I'm Young, What do I care about politics?"is a sentence often uttered by young people in a desire to differentiate themselves from the political mud, thievery, and generally negative things associated with politics. A good part of this narrative among young people has been created by the organized operation of the system in the last 80 years, which prevents young people from acquiring a quality education about political processes. Control of schooling, through which young people learn practically nothing about politics, but also National frequencies
those who are in the service of the regime on the task of primitiveness of politics are directing the youth towards not paying too much attention to politics. However, as politics today is entangled in absolutely every sphere of social life, it is necessary for young people to be more involved in politics.
Young people in Serbia today do not see the prospect of survival, and remain, and feel humiliated by the corrupt system that does not allow them to express themselves and gain a socio-economic position in accordance with the level of education they have acquired. Today, Serbia is among the leading countries in the rate of brain drain. Governing structures have created an environment in which they are valued
polarity, illiteracy and obedience, while the best and most educated free-thinking young people are systematically forced to leave Serbia, because such people do not need a system that wants absolute control over citizenship. How can young people fight this in the best way?
There are 2 basic directions:
1) better information about political processes, actors and electoral system
2) greater participation in political parties i.e. participation in youth policy making
Full control of the regime over national frequencies, as well as the appearance of an increasing number of tabloids that serve only to target the opposition and political engineering, as well as the planned collapse of objective journalism and the suppression of free media have influenced the reduction of political literacy of the entire society, and thus inevitably of young people. However, the high technological literacy of young people gives them a chance to, in some way, bypass the regime media and through alternative media and social networks hear other
side of the story. It is necessary that through the education system, Civic Initiative, as well as the work of political parties, work on increasing the information of young people about politics. If young people are not politically educated and do not vote in large numbers, our future will continue to be decided by those who do not understand our needs! There is a reluctance of young people to participate in political parties, why is this? The stigma has been created that active action in political parties is the culmination of the dishonour that an individual can afford. However, this narrative has just been created to benefit the authorities.
If such a mood is widespread among young people, young people will find it difficult to opt for membership and party activism. This kind of engagement of young people can be crucial for improving the current situation in the country, but also for building a better future, because in this way young people become personally actors on the political scene. Aware of their honesty, inefficiency and good intentions, they bring great energy into politics and become the foundation of social change. Opposition parties are becoming more and more
they provide opportunities for young people, and give them space to make changes in their environment. As such, the party to which I belong stands out especially, and its name is the new face of Serbia. Regardless of political orientation, it is very important to encourage young people to join political parties and participate in creating a positive environment and fighting for a better future. As long as
a greater number of young people are not included in the fight against the change of government and the change of the system, over us the government mediocrities and servants, the sons and daughters of those who inherit positions in generations, while educated young people will be suppressed. The choice is up to us young people, it is not easy and it may seem like a fight with windmills, but the participation of young people in politics should be considered a moral obligation and proven that it can be different in politics!
