Who prevented Serbs from doing sports from Kosovo and Metohija

Information Service of the people's movement of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija "Fatherland"

Today, when we look at the turbulent scenes of the football team of the self-proclaimed Republic Of Kosovo in Bucharest, whose team leaves the football field because of the chanting of fans "Kosovo is Serbia", it is worth remembering the following.

Until 2012. within the sports associations of the Republic of Serbia, Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and their sports clubs were part of a unique Serbian sports space. Football players Mokra Gora from Zubin Potok and Trepca from Kosovska Mitrovica competed regularly in the second league of Serbia and hosted numerous clubs from the so-called region as hosts. the rope of Serbia. Similarly, Trepca basketball players from Kosovska Mitrovica, Trepca and Mokra Gora handball players, as well as women's Volleyball Club Ibar from Leposavic, did the same. As part of the cup competition of the Republic of Serbia, Mokra Gora footballers visited the Gorazdevac Football Club in Gorazdevac near Peć, Trepča played in Strpac, Ranilug and Gracanica, which is why the sport among Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija was no different from the one in Serbia.

Basketball club Partizan with their coach Dusko Vujošević played a friendly match in Kosovska Mitrovica and football club Crvena Zvezda also played Trepča on the football field in Zvecan. Crvena Zvezda fans carried humanitarian aid to the Serbian villages of Suvo Grlo and Banja. Novak Djokovic came to northern Kosovo and Metohija, financed and built a tennis court in Zvecan.

And then the Serbian Progressive Party and Aleksandar Vucic came to power in Serbia. Under the pressure of Angela Merkel, Aleksandar Vucic made it possible for the self-proclaimed rapublica Kosovo to become a member of all sports organizations in the world. This was done through Vlado Divac, a famous Serbian basketball player who was then at the head of the Olympic Committee of Serbia. Aleksandar Vucic put pressure on Vlado Divac, who did not veto Kosovo's admission to the International Olympic Committee at the IOC session. He did not do this because of a traffic accident involving his wife Snezana Divac, which caused one man to die.

Since then, Serbs from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija almost did not engage in sports. Instead of allowing separatists to become members of all sports organizations in the world to regulate the status of Serbian clubs in Kosovo and Metohija, Aleksandar Vucic suspended the existence and normal functioning of sports teams in the southern Serbian province.

A good part of these sports clubs have shut down and the one that has its matches cannot play in Kosovo and Metohija but must play in the so-called Kosovo. close to Serbia. Sports clubs from the region of Serbia are prohibited from visiting the southern Serbian province. For example, Football Club Trepca from Kosovska Mitrovica plays its matches as host in Raška or Baljevac near Raška and Football Club Mokra Gora plays in Novi Pazar or in Deževa near Novi Pazar. Although they have their own stadiums Mokra Gora and Trepca, they cannot play friendly matches in their places, but they also have to play them outside Kosovo and Metohija.

Such is Aleksandar Vucic's concern for the sports life of the youngest Serbs in the southern Serbian province. Although there are sports halls in Leposavic, Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvecan and Zubin Potok, they are empty. The same is the case with football fields in Zvecan, Leposvić and Zubin Potok. Thus, the progressive government is fighting for the rights of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

That is why today, when Aleksandar Vucic receives children with whom he leans over their fate of crocodile tears, he forgets to tell those children that Uncle "ACO the Serb" forbade them to play sports in Kosovo and Metohija. That is why in black letters the name of Vlada Divac and Aleksandar Vucic will remain written that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija were banned from Sports.

Because of all this, the banners seen in Belgrade "when the army returns to Kosovo" look blatantly, because those banners are written by those who betrayed Kosovo and Metohija. The youngest Serbs in the southern Serbian province feel it best.

How we worked so God helped us.
