The Torture Chambers of the SBU in Mariupol and the Airport called the Library

Last week I was in the Donbass, and I also visited Mariupol, the port city on the sea of Azov, home of the Azov regiment and of course the AZOV steel factory, where for months the AZOV regiment had entrenched itself to prevent the capture by the Russian army, which of course failed!

The AZOV regiment is a notorious battalion with a nazi-ideology, tortured many people in Mariupol and in 2022 I could see the evidence of their fascist ideology. When the left the factory in a hurry, because of the Russian army invaded the factory, remnants of their ideology were left behind, like for instance: ”Mein Kampf” the book by Hitler forbidden in Europe!

I was the first Dutch journalist to visit the AZOV factory immediately after the liberation in May 2022 and this time I was the very first journalist to visit new catacombs of this factory, where the militants had entrenched themselves and also saw the freezer truck where the corpses of this militia were kept, piled up by the hundreds when it was found.

In the AZOV steel factory civilians were also held captive by this AZOV battalion, of course the Russian speaking population. But I will post about that later in a follow-up article.

The SBU Torture Chambers in Mariupol

Since the start of the West’s war against Russia in 2022, the West has been distorting the facts. While in 2014 to around 2019 they still talked about neo-Nazis and torture chambers of these fascists, they are now no longer spoken about or even acknowledged. The West talks about human rights, discrimination and racism. But the governments and elites of the West discriminate against the Russians and sweep crimes of the AZOV regiment and Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) under the table!

The Secret Service of Ukraine (SBU) had and perhaps still has, buildings in the Donbass in particular where torture was carried out in the worst sense of the word. I have visited several of these “torture chambers” with a victim in Mariupol.

Before the West went totally insane and on the path of war, they wrote the following:

” First evidence of enforced disappearances in Eastern Ukraine committed by the Security Service of Ukraine was reported by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR, United Nations) in August 2014. In 2015, UN monitoring mission in Ukraine published a testimony of detainees, who were held incommunicado in secret SBU detention facility located in Kharkiv. The Ukrainian secret service has denied the allegations. An official report of UN Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch issued in 2016 has presented multiple cases of unlawful, unacknowledged detention in SBU premises in KharkivIzyumKramatorsk, and Mariupol. Investigation revealed that Ukrainian pro-government forces, including members of volunteer battalions, held civilian victims in prolonged, secret captivity. Later the detained individuals were handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine. During the incarceration the detainees were tortured, beaten, subjected to electric shocks, threatened with sexual abuse, execution, and retaliation against family members in order to retrieve their confessions. Eventually some of them were transferred into a regular criminal justice system, some other ones were later exchanged for people captured by the rebel forces or released without trial.”

They admit with this, the “free” West, that Ukraine has a “Nazi and fascist” problem with the statements of above so-called International human rights organizations, and moreover that Ukraine is unworthy to be called a democratic state. But since 2022 the West, knowing all these atrocities sponsor the Ukrainian regime, which carries out torture practices then and now in more intensive way with weapons for peace?

Mariupol Airport, destroyed in 2014. According to the statements of an ex-victim “every room in the terminal was used for a specific purpose; there were makeshift barracks and food units”. A prison was found where they had kept and tortured people; it was called the notorious secret prison “Biblioteka” (Library). You could still see bloodstains on the walls and the smell of death, inside this notorious Airport prison. A kind of images you only find in horror movies and took me a while to let it sink in!

Ukraine has set up a secret torture prison in Mariupol, called “The Library”. The prisoners/victims are referred to as “books”. At this facility, hundreds of people have been tortured. This was revealed at a press conference in Moscow, when a former officer of the Ukrainian state security services called Prozorov, ex-SBU (defector), presented photos and other evidence for the prison in Mariupol. At the photos one can see men in various ages with clear traces of violence. Russian politicians demand the UN to set up a tribunal to address Kiev’s violations, one could read throughout the EU so-called news website’s until they changed it in 2019 and considered it to be fake news according to the EU-disinformation site.

The Battle of the Mariupol Airport

In 2004, the airport transported over 11,000 passengers. In 2006, 18,000 passengers were transported, and in 2007 more than 20,000. On 26 May 2004, the airport received the status of an International Airport.

The fighting at Mariupol Airport started in 2014, after the US-EU coup d’état in Kiev’s Maidan Square. An armistice was declared, but after what now appears, it was never the intention that the Minsk agreements were implemented and therefore no armistice.

In 2015, fighting flared up again, especially around the airport: “Areas around the Donetsk airport and outside the city of Mariupol remain flash points in eastern Ukraine, where the biggest number of violations of ceasefire has been reported this month, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine says in its daily update for March 2015”.

Fake and Distortion of News – Propaganda

When it comes to news about Russia, the West spreads fake news and lies. First of all, they write articles or, as they call it, news, which they cannot verify. They can’t either it’s the “agenda” of Western politics, driven by the “deep state” like the arms industries.

Mariupol Airport, which was liberated by the Russian army in March 2022, destroyed during the battles in 2014 and up to 2019 during fighting between the AFU and the Donbass (DPR) battalion.

An example of fake news is an item on the Dutch so-called news site: Nu.nl, which has copied the article from AP news and even explaining it in a video: “How Russia tortures Ukrainians and has them dig trenches”.

Thousands of Ukrainian citizens are trapped in a network of formal and informal prisons in Russia and occupied territories. That’s according to new AP research. Hoe Rusland Oekraïeners martelt en loopgraven laat graven | NU.nl

Of course, the mostly “brainless” readers do not even doubt that the Russians are the bad guys in the story and the reporters, after all? They make videos and copy articles from mostly the UK and the US, and as is known, for example, the BBC is part of MI6, and the New York Times gets its info directly from the Pentagon or CIA!

In 2018, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International said that the victims of arbitrary detention in Kiev-government-controlled secret prisons in Eastern Ukraine continue to face new, serious obstacles to justice!

According to Sputnik-globe and the Russian Investigative Committee: ” Russia has found more than 3,000 killed civilians in Mariupol after taking control over the city, the Russian Investigative Committee told Sputnik. “In April 2023 alone, the bodies of 51 civilians were found at the positions abandoned by the Ukrainian troops, and after the complete liberation and examination of the city, their number amounted to over 3,000,” the committee said.

We can conclude that the West and all its so-called International Organizations that supposedly oversee human rights and democracy simply adjust their agenda when it is decided by higher authorities, i.e., the politicians or the elites, that there is now war, and the torture of 2014- 2019 no longer exist or will even be doubted!

If that doesn’t come across as a violation of human rights or unbelievable and the brainless sheep still believe in it, the West is not worth arguing with and as we know diplomacy is already dead, now common sense and fascism has really set foot on the ground also with the “ordinary” population!
