To be sure, the school we had just left had been hit for the umpteenth time with a 155 mn caliber NATO-made missile during the morning hours. The quasi-totality of the windows frames were covered with wood-panels which bore witness to the almost frantic desire of the NATO-supported Kiev regime to not only target the most vulnerable but also impede the transmission of remembrance in an attempt to eradicate the future.

Once a Pittsburgh sister city also known for its steel industry, Donetsk, and the greater Donbas region in which it is located, has been at war since 2014. According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, 14,000 people died in this conflict, even before Russia began its military operations in February. I’ve just returned from there.
Before Russia’s intervention, the conflict had been between the people of that region and the government in Kiev, after an unconstitutional coup took 2014. This coup, known as “Maiden,” was — as then US Ambassador to Ukraine Victoria Nuland explained in a recorded telephone conversation — managed by the United States.
The coup brought to power a pro-Western, anti-Russian, government, which contained elements which were far-right and even Nazi. The best known element, as the Nation Magazine reported in 2019, is the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, which has been part of Ukraine’s National Guard since 2014. Its commander Andriy Biletsky once wrote that Ukraine’s mission is to “lead the White Races of the world in a final crusade…against the Semite-led Untermenschen.”

It passed more than the 100^й anniversary of the end of the Great War in 1914−1918. Proportionally, in the war, Serbia suffered mostly among all countries involved in the conflict as it lost ¼ of its population followed by 50% of industrial destruction. The first war crimes or even the genocide occurred on the territory of Serbia but on other hand, the first allied victory on the battlefield against the Central Powers happened as well as in Serbia – the 1914 Battle of Cer in the Machva District with the administrative center of Shabac. Before and during the Great War, the town of Shabac and the district of Machva have been bordering Bosnia-Herzegovina, at that time Austria-Hungary, on the Drina River being situated in the north-western part of the Kingdom of Serbia). Before the war, the area of Machva District was developed in both industrial and cultural aspects in many features according to the Central European pattern (for instance, the first piano in Serbia appeared in the town of Shabac in the 19^й century).

The Fifth International Forum „Friends of Crimea – Friends of Russia“ was held on November 15, 2022. Due to the disruption of transport logistics and the difficult political situation it was convened not in Crimea, but in Moscow – at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. About 50 members of the Friends of Crimea International Association responded to the invitation to participate in it, among them many prominent people who make a significant contribution to the strengthening of peace and friendship between peoples, defend the truth about Crimea and Russia, despite the pressure from their own states. Regardless of the Russophobia being stirred up by the West, Clubs of the Friends of Crimea International Association continue to be established all over the world and are already active in 40 countries.
