The Swiss Center for Global Trends and the Center for Geostrategic Studies from Serbia have signed a cooperation agreement.
The Swiss Center for Global Trends is part of the Swiss Association founded in 2016 in the canton of St.Gallen. This independent organization studies global trends in politics, science, and society,
as well as geostrategic processes. The Center for Geostrategic Studies was founded in 2014 in Belgrade. The Center for Geostrategic Studies is a non-governmental and non-profit association, established to achieve goals in the field of scientific research of geostrategic relations and the development of strategic documents, analysis, and research.
The first common project of the Swiss Center for Global Trends and the Center for Geostrategic Studies is the creation of an independent platform for European dialogue and cooperation. Switzerland and
Serbia are European countries that are not members of the EU and NATO. Switzerland is home to many international institutions. As the successor to Yugoslavia and the Non-Aligned Movement, Serbia has the capacity to take an independent position in international relations. Therefore, Switzerland and Serbia, i.e., independent organizations from both countries, have the opportunity to develop a common platform for dialogue and cooperation, which is necessary for Europe in the current international circumstances.
The Swiss Center for Global Trends and the Center for Geostrategic Studies have jointly agreed on the following name of the platform:
European Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation
Within this platform, a series of international conferences on various topics will be held, which will enable participants to exchange their opinions. The goal is for the
platform to serve to find the best solutions to many issues related to politics, science, and society. As well as to find the best guidelines for European countries on many issues related to global processes.
The first conference of the European Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation entitled:
Covid-19 in the EU: the degradation of social cohesion and stability
It will be held on February 21, 2022 at 2.00 PM CET in Zoom online format.
We are inviting other European organizations, as well as interested intellectual, political, and journalistic elites who are interested in cooperating on this project to contact us at: europeanplatformfordialogue@gmail.com
