Online seminar „History of the fascist movement in Asia and the present“
This event is organized by the Center for Geostrategic Studies (Serbia), the Institute for European Studies (Latvia) and the Izborsk Club (Russia).
The purpose of the seminar is to comprehend the history of fascism at the beginning of the 20th century in Japan and other Asian countries in the light of the formation of a new multipolar world, to identify threats to the revival of this phenomenon. At the end of last year, the Center for Geostrategic Studies, with the support of the Internet publication IMHOCLUB.EU, organized a large conference „Problems of the revival of fascism in Europe in the 21st century and the possibilities of overcoming it.“
The conference was held in an online format and was attended by 37 scientists, publicists, public figures from 23 countries of the world. The resurgence of fascism is more than current today, and that is why we will continue to analyze this problem. We know from historical experience that economic crisis and technological change are two factors that lead to great turbulence and potential large-scale conflicts. In the era of existence of nuclear weapons of great destructive power, the tendency to conflict is extremely dangerous.
That is why we need more than ever peace initiatives, a conflict de-escalation strategy and the activation of society in order to perceive and prevent potential conflicts.
