Dragana Trifkovic: How Western Services abuse the idea of human rights protection to create separatist ideas

Dragana Trifković, Director General of the Center for geostrategic studies

One of the many histories of abuse of organizations dealing with social issues is related to the case of Pavel Sulyanjig from the Primorsky Krai of the Russian Federation. This Russian activist was born to the Udega family, one of the indigenous small peoples of the Far East of Tungusco-Manchu descent. Of the many representatives of the indigenous peoples of Siberia and the Far East, Pavel Sulyanjiga, like no other, in every possible way positioned himself as a defender of their rights and freedoms.

In the early 1990s, he founded the Association of small indigenous peoples in Russia through which he managed to reach other important positions such as the social Palace of the Russian Federation and the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues. Since 2011. until 2018. he was elected as a member of the UN Working Group on human rights, transnational corporations and other forms of business from the region of Eastern Europe.

Sulyanjiga advocated the idea that the Russian Federation is not doing enough for Indigenous peoples: "the laws that are being adopted, all the actions of the authorities that are working on Indigenous peoples today are aimed simply at the possibility of survival, not to die of starvation, of course, state policy should not be aimed at that, but rather give the opportunity for Indigenous peoples to develop".

The Russian Federation, the country with the largest territory in the world, is one of the most diverse in ethnic composition. It is inhabited by representatives of close to 200 peoples, of which for the vast majority Russia is a historical homeland (Slavs, Ugrian Finns, Turks, Mongols, Caucasians, etc.). Regardless of differences, all peoples in Russia live as part of a unified whole, historically grounded and respect each other. The Russian Federation pays special attention to the development of multiculturalism and ensuring equal rights of all peoples, like no other state. The Constitution of the Russian Federation reads:"We are the Multi-National People of the Russian Federation, United by a common destiny on our land."

The question arises as to how Sulyanjiga came to the conclusion that the small nations in Russia, do not have enough Rights. He was so committed to providing small nations with development opportunities that it was 2014. contracted financial support from a large coastal business. According to the agreement, all the money was to be used for the development of Associations of indigenous peoples in the region.

But, as the investigation later learned, instead of the current account of the organization, the money went to another – the International Batani Foundation, whose president was the same famous Udega Pavel Sulyanjiga. Exclusively for his own needs, this" protector of human rights " spent almost 4 million rubles, not leaving his compatriots even Kopeka. When an investigation was launched in Russia for embezzlement of money, Sulyanjiga fled elsewhere than to America. 2017. he applied for political asylum in the United States and now lives in Maine, continuing to head the Batani International Fund for indigenous development and solidarity. Despite being under investigation in Russia, the so-called protector of human rights of Indigenous Peoples has become a member of various public organizations and associations of European countries that pursue openly hostile policies towards Russia. Suljanjiga is 2022. he participated in the forum of free peoples of Russia held in Warsaw, making a proposal for the creation of a Congress of Native peoples of Russia abroad in order to speak on behalf of indigenous peoples against the war allegedly launched by Russia against Ukraine. With his subversive separatist activities for the money raised in Russia, this" protector " continues his career abroad. The internet is full of his anti-Russian statements denouncing the special military operation. Since last year, Pavel Sulyanjiga has been recognized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as a foreign agent and registered as such. Still, it is an insufficient answer to all that Sulyanjiga has done, abusing the idea of human rights protection to encourage separatism and implement the idea of disintegration of the Russian Federation. It is amazing how such an insidious agenda could achieve such success and push Sulyanjiga to the social Palace of the Russian Federation and then to the UN. This speaks in support of the fact that the law on foreign agents which is 2012. adopted in Russia in accordance with the American law of 1938. "the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)", more than necessary. In the last two and a half years, Russia has begun to actively implement this law, but it will take a long time before such a cunning agenda of Western intelligence services hiding behind the fight for Human Rights, a clean environment and the like are uncovered.
