Dragana Trifkovic: friendly sanctions on Belarus from Aleksandar Vucic
"Welcome to a great friend of Serbia," said Aleksandar Vucic in December 2019. he welcomed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at Belgrade airport. Indeed, Lukashenko's politics can be resented a lot, but not in relation to Serbia. At the time the NATO coalition bombed Serbia, Lukashenko was the only president of a country to head to Belgrade. Many people in Serbia still remember this today, showing great affection for the Belarusian President. Since the independence of Belarus after the collapse of the USSR, relations between our two countries have always been friendly. But it turned out that Aleksandar Vucic doesn't care much about friendly relations or "great friends of Serbia"-as he called Lukashenko on his last visit.
