The Albanian question in the Balkans

Since the dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the Albanian factor has been among the main actors of instability in the Balkans. At the same time, Albanians are the main geopolitical partner of the United States in the region. Accordingly, the Greater Albania project, which dates back to 19. the idea of uniting all Albanians into one state has never been more current. The league is 1878. for years, it sought recognition of the national identity of Albanians and the autonomy of Albania within the Ottoman Empire. At The Gathering held at the Bajrakli mosque in Prizren, autonomy was sought from the Ottoman empire that would unite all Albanians in the Balkans territorially. This project has not been abandoned to this day.
