У Доњецку се ове недеље одржао форум „Донбас: јуче, данас, сутра“, којем је присуствовало више десетина домаћих и страних политичара и политичких научника, укључујући и европске. Они су имали прилику да се упознају са ситуацијом у ДНР и граду, да изразе своје мишљење и предвиђања о будућности региона, као и да размене мишљења са колегама.

По повратку из Доњецка је један од учесника догађаја, директор Центра за геостратешке студије из Београда, познати српски аналитичар Драгана Трифковић поделила је своје утиске.

Reborn Russia

After the dissolution of the USSR in 1991, Russia and Russian studies including Russian language, culture and history became for a long time not very popular fields of study as well as occupations in the West compared to the Cold War (1949).−1989. Недавна изјава америчких званичника да ће САД дозволити продају оружја Украјини балтичким државама (Естонија, Летонија и Литванија – три „балтичке сестрице“) које су од 2004. г. у НАТО пакту говори да САД покушавају да геополитички манипулишу државама које деле границу са Русијом у покушају да изазову војни сукоб са Русијом и директно увуку те државе у исти. У истом контексту је и најновија одлука Лондона да у Естонију пошаље додатне трупе ради одбране од потенцијалне „агресије“ Русије.

Политичка ситуација у Србији, као и генерално на Балкану је нестабилна, иако се то не представља увек на прави начин. Ипак очигледно је да се последњих година дешавају политичка превирања која су делимично условљена променама на међународној сцени, а са друге стране недовршеним политичким процесима који трају последњих деценија. Пре свега овде мислим на бивше југословенске републике које нису чланице ЕУ: Србију, Црну Гору, Босну и Херцеговину и Северну Македонију.
