At the recently held International Conference in Belgrade, entitled "The Patriarchate of Constantinople as an instrument of politics, the destructive activity of Patriarch Bartholomew"there was a very open discussion on the subject. The conference was attended by clergy and Missionaries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Serbian Orthodox Church, Moldovan Orthodox Church, Russian Orthodox Church, as well as representatives of civil society from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
Discussion of the problems in the Orthodox Church, the external combined attacks of the Vatican and Phanar, as well as internal problems (repression and schism), is more than necessary. However, it turns out that it is not at all easy to organize this kind of discussion in Serbia.
For decades, the Vatican and Phanar extended their influence in Orthodoxy in all possible ways, for which they received unlimited support from the political Western centers of power, as well as in many cases, the tacit consent of the pro-western state authorities (Greece, Serbia, etc.). The essence is that Phanar, in the image of the Vatican, has turned into an instrument of geopolitical struggle against orthodoxy and that they work together in this direction. This is especially dangerous because Phanar acts "from the inside". In the words of the great philosopher Cicero, " The Traitor destroys the soul of the nation, he secretly undermines the foundations of the city."; it infects the political body so that it can no longer defend itself. The less one should fear a Murderer, The Traitor is the plague." The main goal of the joint work of the Vatican and Phanar is the false unification of Christians to achieve centuries-old aspirations of papal primacy. Joint celebration of Easter 2025. this is the first step on that path, and the implementation of the entire project is planned to be completed by 2054. exactly a thousand years since the Great Schism. It is necessary to reiterate that this is not a" spiritual " project but a geopolitical project of the Western centers of power.
The combined influences (Vatican, Phanar, and pro-western state policies) led to a profound permeation of political and spiritual life, resulting in the politicization of religion. In such cases, the church increasingly separated from the canon, tradition, and faithful and became a powerful ally in the political process. In recent years, this phenomenon has been particularly noticeable in Serbia, where political authorities have imposed themselves on the Church, considering it necessary to control it and adapt it to their own political goals. The pressure of the regime of Aleksandar Vucic on the Church is so strong that it cannot be compared with any other regime in recent decades, as many in the Patriarchate believe.
The policy of" disciplining the Church " has led over time to the fact that political leadership, through imposed strict discipline within the church and church dignitaries close to political circles, began to use church hierarchy and rules to neutralize any resistance to such a policy.
Blessed purification Metropolitan Amfilohije and Bishop Atanasije Jevtic, noting that the Church is threatened to become a political instrument of the regime, sharply criticized such a relationship.
"I did not have any conflict with Vucic, he is the first president of Serbia who was at the Council. He told reporters that Amphilochius had told him that he was a traitor and that he was not. I didn't say he was a traitor. Now I fear that his policy leads to betrayal of Serbia and Kosovo and that is why he has changed,” he said. Metropolitan Amfilohije interview in 2018. years.
A huge scandal broke in 2019. in the year when public information was leaked that President Aleksandar Vucic was visiting the Patriarchate not to discuss important state and national issues but to discipline "bishops who are critical of his policy", as some media claimed, citing sources from the Serbian Orthodox church. It is stated that the president of Serbia went to the reception with" folders " of State Services and reports of intelligence agencies to which he threatened bishops.
If this is true, it means that the regime uses the entire state apparatus to seduce "discipline" in the Church.
What is certain is that the messages of the Serbian Orthodox Church regarding the most important state and national issues are noticeably missing, where one gets the impression that the Church has completely alienated itself from the people and put it in the function of supporting the regime's policies. However, it is necessary to point out that there are individuals from the Church who do not accept the imposed "discipline" and who understand the seriousness of the situation and their own responsibility. However, they are exposed to various threats, media persecution, open criticism, and most often calls for church court and various other forms of repression from higher instances. Practically, the clergy, through the absence of blessings, are prohibited from publicly speaking, appearing in the media, speaking at conferences or not to attend national gatherings. For non-compliance with such rules there are various other excuses and mechanisms by which individuals from the Church are repressed, and they are presented to the public as "outlaws".
Since the people of Serbia have revolted massively against numerous issues related to internal politics, it would be expected that there would be priests among them. In fact, we remember that at the time of the mass demonstrations of students in 1996/1997 at the head of the demonstration stood Serbian Orthodox church together with Patriarch Pavle. Unfortunately, something like this is unthinkable today, even though the people need it more than that. Since then, the authority of the SOC has greatly weakened, especially due to the change in the value system of the Church, which was most influenced by material and political factors. Instead of supporting students on the website of the Serbian Orthodox Church, a text appeared by Metropolitan David in which he writes that "students are being trained to become 'Serbian Ustashe' and The New atrocities of Lubyanka". Metropolitan David came and award in the form of orders from the hands of people close to the Serbian regime, Knights, Dragons and the Vatican. Very impressive.
Overall, the Serbian Orthodox Church is in an increasingly vulnerable position, not finding the possibility to resist either external or internal bad influences, and thus the reaction of the church to the takeover of the priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church by the Fanars in Austria is completely absent. Who knows how many and where there are more such cases.
Instead of dealing with serious issues concerning the survival of Orthodoxy and the survival of the church, it is often the case that church dignitaries are engaged in supporting the Serbian List and kurti's elections in Kosovo and Metohija, tapping at regime meetings or criticizing the rebellious people. The question then arises, who will deal with the church's problems?
What left the biggest impression on me regarding the recently held international conference on the destructive activities of Patriarch Bartholomew in Belgrade, is the complete censorship of the event by the Serbian media. The only media that published information about the conference were Serbs.info and fight for Faith (later the information spread on YouTube and social networks). On the other hand, the event from Belgrade was followed by media in Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, Latvia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Russia, Italy, and we even found ourselves on the front page of Turkish media. Just amazing. One gets the impression that there is more censorship and fear in Serbia than in NATO countries, since the information about our last conference, which was in Sofia, was followed by all the leading Bulgarian media. Not only did the leading Serbian media not transmit a letter, but it apparently bothered someone that information about the conference was found on the website of the Center for geostrategic studies, so two days after the conference, the Center's website was the target of an attack by organized high-tech crime, which resulted in the infliction of enormous damage to computer data, intellectual property and the cessation of its activities.this is the most serious threat to our human rights and freedoms.
Therefore, everything in Serbia related to the most important national interests, undisguised patriotism and the Church is strictly controlled by both external and internal factors. Reliability is simply prohibited, only simulation is allowed.
