Dragana Trifkovic: The visions of a stock market speculator are unacceptable to Serbia

Continuing our new project called “Soft power – a destructive tool of the collective West against Russia”, Infopress.am spoke with Dragana Trifkovic, director of the Center for Geostrategic Studies from Belgrade, Serbia.

— After the color revolution of 2018, which, as the “leaders” of this revolution declared, was supposed to lead Armenia to the flourishing of democracy and unprecedented economic growth, Armenia not only didn”t become more democratic, but was subjected to unprecedented military aggression, the echo of which can still be heard. It is well known that the main scriptwriter and financier of such color revolutions all over the world is the so-called “Soros Foundation”. Tell us how things were in Serbia in terms of the introduction of Soros agents into various structures and what consequences did this lead to?

Serbia, that is, the former Yugoslavia, was the first country to go through a color revolution according to the strategy of Gene Sharp described in detail in his book of 1993 “From Dictatorship to Democracy”. This book was created after decades of research into the ideas of Gandhi, David Thoreau and Einstein and the principles of nonviolent struggle. Sharpe’s methodology for overthrowing “bad” regimes had an impact all over the world; it was used in the implementation of planned revolutions in South-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, etc.

In 1983, Sharp founded the Albert Einstein Institute in the United States, which researched the methodology of nonviolent struggle, and, in fact, very manipulatively served to provoke violence, regime change and the subsequent implementation of neoliberal politics. This economic policy was carried out with the help of trained personnel supported by American organizations and foundations, including George Soros’s Open Society Foundation. Thus, at the expense of the banking elite, many countries have become impoverished, experienced inflation, uncontrolled privatization, the destruction of the domestic economy, and, finally, the exploitation of natural resources.

It should be noted that the Albert Einstein Institute itself is associated with the Soros Foundation, as well as with other American organizations (associated with the US government, military and intelligence services) IRI, NDI, RAND, etc., known for funding and training neoliberal personnel.

All scenarios to overthrow the regime in Yugoslavia, Georgia, Ukraine, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria, etc. are based on Sharpe’s ideology, color revolution methodology, and rely upon funded NGO and media network.

The Serbian Open Society Foundation was founded in 1991, which coincides with the beginning of the disintegration of Yugoslavia and wars in our region. There are allegations that Soros participated in the organization of many special operations during the war, it is known that he invested in the overthrow of the regime of Slobodan Milosevic. The Soros Foundation funded pro-democracy opposition and student organizations, among which OTPOR is best known. This organization played a big role in bringing about the Color Revolution on October 5, 2000. One of the founders of this student organization, Srdja Popovich, then founded the international organization Center for Applied Nonviolent Actions and Strategies, which is known for its participation in the implementation of color revolutions in many countries, including Ukraine, Egypt and Tunisia. Srdja Popović applied the experience gained in the process of Milosevic regime change and he received great support from the West for his activities.

It should be noted that George Soros gave scholarships to a large number of students who also underwent ideological training based on anti-Russian politics, neo-liberalism, political correctness and alike. All Soros Fellows committed themselves to representing ideological positions, and for this they had support both during their studies and later in their careers. Many of these employees today form a deep state network in all state institutions in Serbia, especially in faculties, in the judiciary, in the economy, etc.

— In Armenia, we see that since 1997, when the Open Society Institute began its activities in our country, an entire generation has already grown up in the projects of this organization, being taught how to overthrow the government and reject traditional values and national identity, instead offering a consumer society, focused on Western «values». This is actually a generation with reformatted neoliberal thinking. What is Serbia’s experience in this regard?

In Serbia, this process has also been going on for many years. Unacceptable tendencies are being imposed on traditional Serbian society. Influences coming from the West, not only through the Open Society Foundation, promote the LGBT agenda, feminism, consumerism, vulgarism, etc. However, I think that these «values» were not taken well in out society. Citizens of Serbia have a negative attitude towards the West since 1999 and NATO aggression. What is today’s West, we experienced earlier than others, but faced misunderstanding. I think things are changing now.

What Western NGOs have been good at is educating the political elite and bribing the intellectual elite which blindly follow a given agenda. In every society, the intellectual elite makes up about 5% of society. It was sufficient for them to take control over 3% of the elite, and marginalize the remaining 2%, which they could not subdue. Thus, with a relatively small percentage of their staff, they are trying to change the «consciousness» of the people, as they say. However, the Serbs are rather stubborn people, and no matter how the West tries to impose certain values, I think it does not succeed. Even among the younger generation, there is a high dose of patriotism and adherence to traditional values. The West controls many NGOs in Serbia that deal with human rights, democracy, freedom of the media and justice, but in reality they are mostly subversive and accuse the Serbs of aggression and war crimes. The same relates to Western media in Serbia. However, such organizations and individuals are hated by most citizens of Serbia. Previously, these organizations were financed by the West, but at some point they decided to transfer them to the Serbian budget. So now the citizens of Serbia themselves finance those who falsely accuse them of planned crimes.

The Soros Foundation, like other Western NGOs, supports the European integration of Serbia, the so-called independence of Kosovo, and now the new Soros project «Open Balkans», which is actually another name for the Greater Albania project.

— As George Soros writes in his book “The Age of Fallibility”, the main goal of a man named Soros is to create a world without borders, where everyone would be equal and free, where the interests of all minorities, especially sexual ones, would not just be legislated, but would prevail over the interests of the majority. In your opinion, is such a new world an acceptable future for the people of Serbia, and if not, what are the opportunities to counter the influence of the Open Society Institute network of organizations today?

The visions of a stock market speculator are unacceptable to Serbia and will never be acceptable. I think that such «visions» have come to an end. What we have to fight for in Serbia is the change of political elites. This will inevitably happen not only in Serbia, but throughout Europe in the wake of ongoing tectonic international changes. If we talk about democracy, human rights and freedoms, which the collective West, including Soros, refers to, then this does not mean the domination of the minority over the majority. Democracy is the consensus of the majority, and in Serbia, the majority of people can agree to preserve traditional values, care for our culture and history, keep Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia, and preserve the sovereignty of the state. What we can do at this stage is to analyze the experience and deconstruct the situation. This is very important at the moment.
